Our Story

When Rachel and I moved back to Te Puke from Wellington, some dodgy Pastor at Mount Maunganui asked us to stop bugging him and start our own church. Seeing everyone who was hearing from God for the past six months had been telling us to start a church. We decided that we could not ignore it any more.
Figuring if God tells you to do something, you make sure its God and not some nutter (self included) and do what he asks.
Feeling that it would be wrong to download qualifications off the net and pretend we knew what we were doing we thought we would just start and prove the opposite.
To say they journey has been easy would be a lie, but God has showed up and slowly over the first year moulded us into a shape that is starting to resemble what he was wanting.
We have an amazing crew around us who are not content to let us slip into the comfortable small town church model. They are feeding the poor, looking after each other and near as I can tell attempting to be what a follower of Jesus should be.
I’d tell you what we were going to look like in the future, but the future looks like you. And we are forever changed by the gifts, talents and passions of whom ever comes through the door.
